A SMART MOVE, San Diego's premier moving box rental company, serves the San Diego area, including Chula Vista, Escondido, Oceanside, Carlsbad and all of San Diego County. We deliver durable, hard plastic moving boxes right to your door and pick them up later at your new location. Sounds like a smart move, right?

Equally adaptable for both home and office moves, our uniformly-sized, moving boxes make a more efficient and stable load for a truck or trailer than a collection of odd sized cardboard boxes, saving our customers money with moving companies. In addition, we sanitize our boxes after every use so that they are clean and in perfect condition for the next customer.

Our moving kits include 20 to 200+ hard plastic moving totes with no tape or assembly required, plus dollies and free delivery & pickup. We also offer packing supplies, bubble wrap, mattress covers and more.

Lindsay Curtis, a wife and mother of 3, moved to San Diego from the United Kingdom in 2008 and, by April 2013, she had moved her family 5 times in 7 years. All that wasted cardboard, not to mention the time and effort wasted on finding boxes, making the boxes up and then breaking them down again - Lindsay could not imagine anything worse for her next move. There had to be an alternative.

After much scouring and sourcing, Lindsay found a great opportunity to rent out eco-friendly, cleaned and sanitized moving boxes, which are not only made out of 100% recyclable material, but made in the USA.

And that was how A SMART MOVE was born! Owned and operated by Lindsay Curtis, A SMART MOVE fulfilled her dream of running her own business while providing an environmentally-friendly service to the community.
